Salad Caprese

A simple appetiser/salad that uses just 6 ingredients!

Salad Caprese, Tomatoes Recipes

YIELD: 2 servings

PREP TIME: 10 minutes

COOKING TIME: 5 minutes

  • 3 King Tomatoes
  • 1 Piece Buffalo Mozzarella
  • 15-20 Fresh Basil Leaves
  • Extra virgin Olive Oil
  • Salt & Pepper to taste
Pro tip

You could also use Paneer (Indian Cottage Cheese) or Plain Tofu instead of Buffalo mozzarella.


Slice the tomatoes and mozzarella into flat circles. Arrange them alternately – 1 slice of tomato then mozzarella and 1 basil leaf. Continue in a circular Pattern till your plate is full. Drizzle with Extra virgin olive oil. Add Salt and Pepper to taste. Done!

If you want to serve this as a canapé – Just stack them as 1 serving and cut in half. Use the mozzarella at the bottom. Pierce with a toothpick to hold it together.
